The Greater New Orleans region is increasingly aligning educational programs with workforce needs, closing the gap between graduation and career entry. YouthForce NOLA led the way this summer by placing 290 high‑school students into paid internships, combining classroom instruction with hands-on experience and stipends. Local institutions like NOCC and Nunez Community College are collaborating with industry partners and organizations like YouthForce NOLA to create credential-stacking pathways and direct pipelines into high‑wage jobs.
