Career Expo Connects 3,000 Students to Workforce Pathways

The 2026 Career Expo, hosted by YouthForce NOLA and Junior Achievement, brought together more than 3,000 New Orleans public high school freshmen and over 50 employers at the University of New Orleans Lakefront Arena. Students explored high-demand career fields—such as healthcare, IT, skilled trades, and business—through hands-on activities and direct conversations with professionals. Interactive elements like a “Career Expo Bingo Card” encouraged students to ask questions about job responsibilities, skills, and career pathways, helping them better understand their options. The piece emphasizes that events like this not only expose students to future opportunities but also help employers build a stronger, more prepared local workforce pipeline.
