Develop Their Future Talent
Develop Their Future Talent
YouthForce NOLA partners with nearly 200 of our region’s employers with one goal in mind: to better prepare our youth and our city for the next stage of economic growth. We are grateful to our partners, Greater New Orleans, Inc., Junior Achievement of Greater New Orleans, and New Orleans Business Alliance for their assistance in coordinating this industry involvement and investment in our city’s youth. To solve this, we work with employers to increase career awareness among educators and youth, inform policymakers on workforce development needs, and connect young people with career growth opportunities.
In order to build awareness, facilitate exploration, and ensure students develop the soft skills and access the technical training needed for the world of work, businesses across New Orleans are opening their doors to students and educators. Greater New Orleans, Inc. and Junior Achievement of Greater New Orleans are acting as employer-facing intermediaries to coordinate and centralize industry involvement and investment in work-based learning opportunities for students at YouthForce NOLA partner schools.

Youth Empowerment Project (YEP)
From our 2015 inception to December 2018, these employer partners have provided learning experiences for our students and educators, from student internships and educator externships to site visits and exhibitions at the YouthForce Career Expo. Bolded organizations have participated in more than one of these opportunities.
Teachers need to be able to connect their curriculum to careers because it brings real-world experiences into the classroom. Through externship experiences organized by YouthForce NOLA and Junior Achievement, educators visit employers to experience and learn what the world of work is like.
Members of our Employer Hub helped organize a variety of work-based learning experiences and in-class career-focused programming and demonstrations. In partnership with Junior Achievement, the Employer Hub brings in critical partners to expose and prepare our students for the world.
To ensure our young people are receiving quality career-oriented education, we need the input and guidance of our region’s employers. YouthForce NOLA brings together employers to develop new credentials, shape classroom curricula, and advocate for policy -- all in service of our future leaders.
Businesses across New Orleans are opening their doors to the city’s students and educators to facilitate career exploration and help students develop the hard and soft skills they need for the world of work. Be the kind of company that invests in future leaders.
