Policy Features

This page features timely policy updates to address the most pressing challenges that prevent young people from accessing— and practitioners and stakeholders from delivering—a system of career-connected learning experiences in New Orleans.

YouthForce NOLA’s policy priorities are derived from the most pressing barriers and the greatest opportunities identified by our network of school, community, and business partners as well as the youth and families we support. We collaborate with elected officials, government agencies, and partners at the local, state, and federal levels to bring together research, best practices, and other insights from the field to inform legislative and regulatory policy. Ultimately, we aim to ensure resources—including, but not limited to, funding—are directed toward strategies and initiatives that yield the greatest results for our young people and local community.
